Private Eye on Seattle Tours

Since 1997 Private Eye Tours has offered unique and sensational tours of Seattle's dark history, mysteries, true crime & hauntings. The tours are scenic, historical and entertaining. The company was founded by Windsor Olson, a real "private eye", based upon his knowledge of Seattle's crime history and dark past. The tours have been featured in articles, travel guides, TV and radio in both the Pacific NW and through out the world.

Since 2001 Jake, a true Seattle native, has offered the tours. Jake has a science background and life-long interest in forensics and the darker side of life. She has always had a fascination with ghosts and the paranormal and is a member of a local paranormal group. She has taught a class featuring Seattle's haunted locations at North Seattle Community College, Discover U and the University of Washington.

Four tours are now available. The Queen Anne & Capitol Hill Mystery & Murder tours are true crime tours covering different areas of the city. Haunted Happenings:A Seattle Ghost Tour covers a wide area of the city. Our newest tour "Spirits of Seattle Ghost Tour" travels through Capitol Hill, Belltown, the Market area & Downtown Seattle. It launched in Spring 2011.

The tours are available year round by reservation only. They are driving tours, riding in a comfortable van, with locations where we stop that involve limited walking.
